How to Use Worm Castings

PLANTING:

Before planting seeds or seedlings, evenly spread 1 gallon of castings per 50 sq ft of garden area.

PLANTING SEEDLINGS/POTTED PLANTS:

Add 1 handful of worm castings where you will be planting. Mix in native soil and firm around the root base, water thoroughly.

PRO TIP:

To preserve the beneficial microbes in your worm castings, avoid using chlorinated water. If you must use tap water, fill a 5-Gallon bucket with water and let it sit overnight to allow the chlorine to dissipate before using.

How To Use BioChar

  • PLANTING:

Add 1 handful of BioChar where you will be planting. Mix in native soil and firm around the root base, water thoroughly.

    PRO TIP:

Our BioChar helps maintain moisture levels in the soil. We also soak it in worm casting tea to increase microbe levels. It’s used as a slow-release fertilizer as the biochar is porous.
